Variable multifunctional vehicle Mattro Bock
In addition to the “Ziesel”, the Tyrolean company Mattro is making headlines with a multifunctional vehicle called the “Bock”. The tracked vehicle has a sophisticated design featuring various connections for attachments, making it the optimum basis for developing customised vehicle concepts. The Mattro Bock is used in a wide range of areas, for example as a support vehicle for rescue units in tunnels or as a special vehicle for disarming land mines.
The robot platform is powered by two PMS 120 disc-type motors from HEINZMANN. With their compact dimensions, high efficiency and dynamic running behaviour, these motors have proved to be the ideal solution for the special vehicle.
Each motor has a diameter of just 230 mm, with a length of only 160 mm including the 42 mm shaft stub, and delivers a nominal output of 4.4 kW at a peak torque of up to 13 Nm and with a 96 VDC supply voltage. Thanks to the sensitive power output, each chain can be individually controlled, making the tracked vehicle extremely manoeuvrable even on tough terrain. The Bock is the only known robot platform to reach a maximum speed of up to 30 km/h.
