PMSG motor and gear combinations boast a clean, environmentally friendly drive concept with no emissions or noise. The compact system solutions are made up of a powerful motor, integrated planetary gears and a built-in wheel bearing for direct mounting on the rim. A parking brake is available as an option. Other system components are the motor control and motor feedback system. PMSG gear motors are suitable for both 2-wheel and 4-wheel drives. Their advantages include a high starting torque with significant overload factor, the option of recuperation of braking energy, and a high level of efficiency.

PMSG System Solutions

PMS motors

PMS motors At the heart of the PMSG motor and gear combination are motors from the tried-and-tested HEINZMANN PMS series. Thanks to their flat design, small size and low weight, the robust motors have been proving their effectiveness in a huge range of applications for decades.

Gears

Gears Depending on the transmission ratio, 1, 2 or 3-stage planetary gears are used to adjust speeds and torque to meet requirements.

Parking brake

Parking brake All PMSG motors and gears are also available with brakes. Depending on requirements, this can be a service brake or parking brake with electric or manual control, and safety brakes are also available.

Motor controller

Motor controller Permanently excited synchronous motors require electronic controllers for their operation. These controllers are subject to the utmost dynamic requirements and must demonstrate extreme performance characteristics. That's why a selection of tried-and-tested motor controllers is available for the motors in the PMSG series. As a result, the interplay of both components achieves optimum results.

Motor feedback

Motor feedback Depending on requirements, three different types of motor feedback are available in the PMSG series: Hall, sin/cos motor feedback or resolver. This enables control of PMS motors by virtually any conventional motor controller.
